The Present Passage™ is a beautifully weighted, two-sided Christmas keepsake created to give every child a choice in how Santa’s magic reaches them.
Because Christmas does not look the same in every home.
Some families celebrate Christmas between two homes, away on holiday, on a different day—or from somewhere unexpected, such as a hospital room.
Some children are excited for Santa to come inside their home. Others would feel safer knowing he can remain outside. When a child makes their wish and their grown-up hangs The Present Passage in their chosen place, its Christmas star illuminates a magical passage between Santa’s Mailroom and wherever they may be. Santa can follow the passage inside—or, if the child wishes, send the presents safely through while he remains on the other side.
And because its magic flows both ways, the treats left for Santa can find their way through to him, too.

The magic behind the present passage
On the night before Santa comes, the child makes a wish and their grown-up hangs the Present Passage in a special place—maybe the front door or on their Magic Mailbag. Its Christmas star carries their message to Santa’s Mailroom, illuminating a magical passage between Santa and wherever they may be.
Santa may be welcomed inside, if that is what the child wishes. Or the presents can travel safely through the passage while Santa remains on the other side.
There is no wrong choice. The magic belongs to them, and it is always their decision how it arrives.
Unlike a traditional Santa key, the Present Passage never assumes that Santa will enter. Instead, it offers the child a true sense of autonomy within the tradition—their comfort, circumstances and wishes determine where, when and how the magic arrives. Santa may be welcomed inside, or remain outside and send the presents safely through the passage. A child never has to choose between taking part in the magic and honouring what makes them feel safe. - Choose where, when, and how you would like Santa’s delivery to arrive.
- Hold the Present Passage and make your wish, telling Santa where you will be and whether he may come inside your home or should send the presents through.
- Have your grown-up hang it somewhere special the night before Santa comes.
- Let the Christmas star carry your wish to Santa’s Mailroom.

Children should use the Present Passage only with adult supervision. An adult should attach, remove and hang the keepsake securely. Keep out of reach of children under three years old.

Santa’s Magic Mailbag® began with a wish to give my own family a new Christmas tradition—one that celebrated the goodness already in my children’s hearts and reminded them they never had to earn Christmas magic.
They are the magic. They are what makes the season so special.
I wanted to create something that celebrated that truth.
To me, Santa’s Magic Mailbag has always been about so much more than Christmas morning.
It has become a symbol of unconditional love, acceptance, and a tangible reminder that every child is already enough.
My hope is that this becomes more than something your children look forward to each Christmas, too. I hope it helps them grow up knowing they are deeply loved, wonderfully enough, and worthy exactly as they are.
I’ve poured years of thought into every part of this tradition, from the words on the page to the weight of the velvet, revisiting and refining each detail until it felt just right. When you open your parcel, I hope you’ll feel that care in every piece.
