From Santa’s Mailroom at the North Pole, two Magic Mailbags—each retiring after one hundred Christmases of service—make their way across the Australian night to Madeline and Milo’s Queensland home. Their arrival is not a reward for perfect behaviour, but the beginning of something entrusted to the children simply because their turn has come.
Created to place Australian childhood at the centre of the Christmas story, the book carries the wonder of Santa into the familiar world of a summer Christmas. Naughty lists, surveillance and conditional magic are left behind. In their place is a Christmas world shaped by trust and belonging, where goodness is already known and magic is never something a child must earn.

Santa’s Magic Mailbag® began with a wish to give my own family a new Christmas tradition—one that celebrated the goodness already in my children’s hearts and reminded them they never had to earn Christmas magic.
They are the magic. They are what makes the season so special.
I wanted to create something that celebrated that truth.
To me, Santa’s Magic Mailbag has always been about so much more than Christmas morning.
It has become a symbol of unconditional love, acceptance, and a tangible reminder that every child is already enough.
My hope is that this becomes more than something your children look forward to each Christmas, too. I hope it helps them grow up knowing they are deeply loved, wonderfully enough, and worthy exactly as they are.
I’ve poured years of thought into every part of this tradition, from the words on the page to the weight of the velvet, revisiting and refining each detail until it felt just right. When you open your parcel, I hope you’ll feel that care in every piece.
